These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of layerkins.com and any services provided by Layerkins, a sole proprietorship based in Alabama ("Layerkins," "we," "us," or "our"). By placing an order or using our site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
Layerkins is a 3D print service operated as a sole proprietorship in Alabama. We print 3D models you provide (or that we help you find from public model libraries) using PLA and PETG filament, and ship the finished prints to you. We do not currently offer design services, resin printing, painting, priming, or sanding.
When you provide 3D files (STL, 3MF, OBJ, etc.) or link us to a model from a public library (MakerWorld, Printables, Thingiverse, or similar), you confirm that you own the rights to that model or have permission to have a physical copy printed for your own use. You grant us a license to use that model solely to fulfill your order.
If you ask us to help find a model that fits a description, we'll typically source it from a public model library. The terms of that library and the model's own license still apply to your physical copy — we'll point those out where they matter.
We won't print models that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of third parties, and we'll decline obvious commercial-IP rips intended for resale. We may also decline to print models that we consider obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.
3D printing is a layer-by-layer process, and the results carry that signature:
We'll always give you a realistic preview of what to expect before printing.
See our Shipping Policy for details on production times, shipping methods, and delivery expectations.
See our Refund Policy.
The Layerkins name and logo are our property. You may not use them for commercial purposes without written permission.
We do not design models. Any IP rights in the models you bring us — or that we help source from public libraries — remain with their respective creators. We may take and use photos or video of the finished prints we produce for our portfolio, social media, and marketing, unless you ask us not to in writing before printing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layerkins is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alabama.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
